Yeah, I know. LOL.
Also, she says, “Better to believe the Bible than what some man says.”
The Bible “IS” what several men have so said.
Actually, a number of the words in the Bible are God speaking directly to humanity. Not to mention the apostolic testimony that the words of Scripture come directly from the Holy Spirit.
OTOH, if you want to count the “stenographers” as among those “humans saying things,” I guess that’s true. They are human and they are saying things God told them to say.
Or how about this. The “stenographers” all wrote what Jesus quoted to Satan in the wilderness temptation, right? But what did Jesus say about those words? Man shall live by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. Right? Looks like Jesus skipped right over the stenographers when talking about Scripture. Sort of like MamaB just did.
But not when talking about the Jewish magisterium. With them He was quite harsh, for all their interference, their failure to give out the truth contained in Scripture.
So here’s a thought. If you really believe the words of Scripture and the words of your professed magisterium are on the same level, equally inspired by the Holy Spirit, why not canonize them as Scripture too and put them in the Book? Seems reasonable to me.
Peace,

The Bible is the Word of God. It was inspired by Him. Not like some Catholic writings. And no, Catholics did not write it.
