The answer, (IMHO) is that the school is still not concerned about this issue. The Sisters of Mercy are a heterodox rabble who are altogether unconcerned about issues such as this.
I believe a parent or group of parents complained to the school about this scandal, received no satisfaction and as a result, took it to a higher authority, most likely Chaput himself. The order to fire then came down from above.
Perhaps... given her “primary consideration was to sustain Catholic identity”. Is Archbishop Chaput new to that diocese? Was there someone else at the helm these past 8 years?
Do you really know the Order? And are still any actual Sisters associated with the school. Some schools seem to advertise themselves as "in the spirit of" (or some such) the Order that formerly taught there. Don't seem to be much in the way of teaching orders any more!
