Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Our Father,
Who Art in Heaven,
Hallowed Be Your Most Holy Name!
For You Alone Are Worthy,
You Alone Are Holy,
You Alone Are The Most High!
Teach us To Put Our Trust In You,
And Not In The Princes Of The Earth,
Or In Worldly Governments To Provide for Us,
For You Are Our Provider, Our Refuge, and Our Strength.
You Alone Are The One True God.
Perfect in All Your Ways
Ancient of Days,
King of Kings,
And Lord of Lords!

We Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem,
According to Your Will and Promise.
We Pray For the People and Leaders of Israel,
that They Will Look to You for the Protection
and Prosperity of their Nation.
We Also Pray For Revival in our own Beloved USA.

We Pray For The Swift and Sure Coming of Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Establish His Kingdom,
and Make All Things Right.

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

Hallelujah and Amen

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

God used a very unique way to provide food for the Prophet Elijah. Ravens, which carry a negative connotation in our own time, (and probably back then too) kept Elijah alive by bringing him bread and meat in the morning and evening. A Raven appears in Scripture back in Genesis, as the first creature Noah released from the Ark, but unlike the Dove, did not return. Now we see Ravens returning faithfully twice a day!

Because the Raven is a scavenger, and has a menacing appearance, it has come to symbolize Death in our own culture. Edgar Allen Poe's poem "The Raven" didn't help this bird's reputation at all, and Ravens figure prominently in Victorian funerary art. It is not far-fetched to posit that the Ancient Hebrews saw the Raven in a similar light.

Imagine that the first time the Ravens approached Elijah! It must have been a scary sight.

Perhaps (My Own Opinion...not Scripture!) the Lord was showing Elijah that he must depend upon the Lord for Everything, even when it looks like a frightening situation. Perhaps it was a lesson that Elijah must "die to himself" and let God be his Provider.

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.
