There was a leader and not a pretender.
Not so fast.....In May 1990 in Mexico City and on...Pope John Paul II met with Worlds Religious leaders and embraced them, just like Francis as "worshipers of the One True God"...... Furthermore he told them he did not come to that meeting to teach them but to learn from them their heritage in which the world should heed. .....Not to mention Pope Paul called Evangelicals "sects" and warned catholics against their errors....
Popes have been doing the same as Francis for decades now....as photos depict...in 1986 and 2011 as examples
