Since I copied the passage from O'Brien, I'll post it for you now, so you tell us why you agree with this:

From page 270 of John O'Brien's 'Faith of Millions'

“' No act is greater than the consecration of the body of Christ'. ... The power of the priest is not surpassed by that of the bishop, the archbishop, the cardinal or the pope. Indeed it is equal to that of Jesus Christ. For in this role the priest speaks with the voice and the authority of God Himself.”

“When the priest pronounces the tremendous words of consecration, he reaches up into the heavens, brings Christ down from his throne, and places Him upon our altar to be offered up again as the victim for the sins of men. It is a power greater that that of monarchs and emperors; it is greater than that of saints and angels, grater than that of Seraphim and Cherubim. Indeed it is greater even than the power of the Virgin Mary. The priest brings Christ down from heaven, and renders Him present on our altar as the eternal Victim for the sins of man – not once but a thousand times! The priest speaks and lo! Christ, the eternal and omnipotent God, bows his head in humble obedience to the priest's command.”

Do catholics agree that the priest is equal in power to the Omnipotent God Who created the priest? Do catholics agree that the priest speaks with so much authority that Jesus The Christ, a person of the One God Trinity bows to the priest and the catholic altar?

Read it again, knowing that this book of heresies has the nihil obstat of the Catholic Church declared over it, meaning it does not deviate from Catholic faith and morals! ... "The priest speaks and lo! Christ, the eternal and omnipotent God, bows his head in humble obedience to the priest's command.”

Catholic Folks, the above is blasphemous. This is a different Jesus and a different gospel. Those accepting it are accepting the curse upon it as 'another Gospel' from what Paul preached. [ Gal 1:8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed! 9 As we have said before, so I say again now, if any man is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, he is to be accursed! ]

I really hope that catholics don't believe what this man writes, because if they do they are seriously in far more dire straits than I thought. Let's just see what their response is.... This is satanic type stuff he's portraying for only the enemy of men's souls would ever say he brings down Christ on their alter as an "eternal" victim...or that God would bow before a Priest.....awful stuff here.

No sir, I don't think He bows His head to anyone. Not now, not ever.

They teach that the priest is christ ..an alter Christus

In persona Christi is a Latin phrase meaning “in the person of Christ,” an important concept in Roman Catholicism and, in varying degrees, to other Christian traditions. A priest is In persona christi, because he acts as Jesus and as God. An extended term, In persona Christi capitis, “in the person of Christ the head,” was introduced in the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
