Baptism is the assurance for Catholics that they will be saved and placed in a state of grace.

Wait... what????

A Catholic who now says that they have assurance of salvation????

Isn't that the sin of presumption or something????

And Christians are castigated for expressing confidence in their salvation?

Rules for thee but not for me, eh?
