Most were not surprised by the Supreme Court decision today. Court watchers who had attended the hearings earlier this year were rather certain that the mood of the court was to find a constitutional right to marriage and extend it to those with same-sex attraction.
I am not a lawyer and will not therefore speak to the legal demerits of this decision. Others, including the minority on the Court, can speak to that.
But as a citizen I wonder how we have come to a place in our legal and legislative system where unelected judges for life, who in effect answer to no one, can make such increasingly common and sweeping decisions regarding basic human institutions.
Increasingly in our nation, many are beginning to feel quite powerless over the most basic aspects of their life. Governmental decisions in both the executive and judicial branches of government are eclipsing and overruling plebiscites and laws crafted by and enacted by elected legislators, who are answerable to the American people. Judges are imposing, often at brisk speed, sweeping changes with little opportunity for appeal or redress. The wide use of executive power by presidents has also become wide and sweeping in the same matters.
The balance of power has shifted dramatically toward the judicial branch and judges who “know better” than the American people or their elected legislators.
Clearly there's a place for judicial review of laws and policies. But it's increasingly evident that the judicial activism of recent decades is way out of balance.
Sadly, both conservatives and liberals have often had recourse to courts for matters that really should have been handled in the giveand-take of the legislative process. Too many people have preferred to gamble with judicial fiats, rather than building political consensus.

Anyway I was internally disturbed a little but was trying to be tolerant but not approving.
First they (the Christian male therapist) got on me for not going with the rest to this racy club. Why wouldn't I go? Because stripping is exploiting women, that's why. That was the end of that one.
Oh, then it was about the one girl talking about living with her new partner in a lesbian relationship. I asked, can't you just be friends? How naive of me.
Then I got invited to a lesbian's house. She had recruited a confused straight girl to be her partner, and they had big plans. I asked the priest if it was ok to go.
He said they are people, too, blah blah. Actually he was very debonair and nice except he told me I wouldn't listen to anybody and I degraded myself in confession. He's now a bishop.
Well, I went to the party and had my pepper spray ready because I was afraid of her dogs. I didn't have any fun, but I tried not to be rude but not to in any way approve any behavior.
I got kicked out of that program. They let me go to morning mass but the meds were messing me up and I couldn't get up in the morning. That was humiliating but I left. Then they put me in private therapy.
Now the last encounter I ran into the party one at 7-11. How the hell ya doing says I. Good, enthusiastically tells me she's getting a sex change operation. I said evenly and not nastily, "I don't think you should do that." That was the last time I saw her.
There was another one who took me to the Farmer's Market. I couldn't feel really close to her, then she broke up with her partner who was a nurse at the hospital. She was devastated. I don't know what became of her.
A lot of them are mentally ill, confused and messed up, some from being sexually abused and some for no particular reason.
I kind of think they sought my approval at the least and at best maybe I gave off lonely vibes and would have taken up with me. I'm was never tempted to do anything like that but I have felt love for a woman friend in a totally non-sexual way. She's gone now.
Oh, i met one at work and she brought me this book to look at. it was flowers that looked like female sex parts. It was disgusting. A male lawyer saw it and asked how I could look at that stuff. No I didn't go to the bookstore but I did go to some Womyn's event downtown. She was at the lesbian table. I felt uncomfortable at that and never wanted to go to any of that stuff again.
Now that decree from the Congregation tells me I should not have gone. So much for that.
I cancelled the day after Obama got re-elected.

In reality, that minor percentage is merely the device the Left is using to destroy our liberties and Christianity.
Most of our churches will capitulate, the Protestant ones, I'm not sure which ones will try to hold the line, know the Catholic church will but a renegade priest could capitulate and probably, knowing my diocese, get sent somewhere else and nothing disciplinary done about it.
I’m not sure why anyone would want to excommunicate John Roberts over this issue; he dissented solidly (unlike yesterday). As for Anthony Kennedy and Sonia Sotomayor, are they even communicated that they may be excommunicated, or have they already been excommunicated?
One justice really shines above his peers this week: Clarence Thomas, who writes solid, well-reasoned, historically grounded decisions, unfortunately mostly dissents.

The hardest part is knowing that God is ALLOWING this all to happen- one stunning unbelievable shocking defeat after another- Evil is dancing In the streets this week- Evil is celebrating and living it up- Evil is drooling and licking their chops thinking about how much power they have gained this week, and how much Evil they can wreak on America now that there is NOTHING to stop them- And God may very well ALLOW them to do so

The _resident WILL now sign onto the UN ‘hate crimes’ law- making it an international law that you can NOT preach the word of God in it’s entirety because God’s word makes it clear that homosexuality is an abomination, and gay people are offended by that
The SC decision today sealed the fate of Christians all over the country- It succeeded in branding Christianty as a ‘religion of hate’ and government is now free to regulate what Christianity can and can not preach
We will see how the churches respond- I suspect MANY will cave in- and only the few will stand strong despite the htreats against it

Perhaps we should make every effort to regard them with charity; we are not required to “respect” sodomy.

Because as bad as thigns will get in our time, things are going to be much worse for our children- that’s why- It’s sad watching this nation turn it’s back on God- Things are going to be very very difficult for our children- We grew up in a BLESSED nation- a nation that was a good place to live and raise children in- Now that is being snatched away- and those who stand for God WILL come undr- ARE coming under persecution

Really? God has declared He is going to destroy America? And He has warned people not to look back? And He has told His people to flee America? Not seeing the connection here- Two entirely different scenarios - Soddom and Ghomorrah had only a very few righteous people- America Has MANY righteous people still- it is the wicked who are in the minority in America- We’re still nothing like Sodom- at least not yet-
Uh, we can fix this with an Article V Constitutional Convention.

But God sent His Word for any who would believe what would be. The words that God is ALLOWING this all to happen- have an accusatory sound. I am appalled by the pagans that are now in charge of we the people, but I am not surprised.
We have the script of what to expect, and we are told that IF we believe, God will never leave US or forsake US.... We are told what would be IF a nation or individual(s) leave and/or forsake Him.
Revelation 10:7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as He hath declared to His servants the prophets.
Notice who was given the warnings the prophets from Moses to Malachi.
8 And the voice which I heard from heaven spake unto me again, and said, "Go and take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel which standeth upon the sea and upon the earth."
9 And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, "Give me the little book," And he said unto me, "Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey."

This comes from the prophet Ezekiel 3:3....
Knowing who wins this spiritual war (Ephesians 6:10-24) is the sweetest honey, but the script to get to the win is indeed very bitter in the belly. But we have not seen anything yet, this is a spiritual war fought in high places... including the majority that call themselves Christians.
Christ said these things need be, that cup of wrath is about to overflow, and those that love the Creator will have His loving protection.
This 'national declaration of pride' will not go unnoticed by our Maker. As will the acts of some who title themselves as holy fathers... Romans 1:21 Because that when they knew God, they glorified Him NOT as God, neither were thankful;

I think the above pretty much covers the state of global affairs these days.
Stop blaming God. The majority of peoples in this nation are the destroyers, and too many love to watch on the sidelines like it is a Jerry Springer show.
