I love the thought of millions reaching out to The Father all at the same time, but isn’t it like asking Him to change His mind about what He has already decreed? He told us we would degenerate into a cesspool before Jesus returns to set things right. I will expend my money and my vote and my words to help foster Christian Conservatism, but will not ask Him to go back on His Word.

Last night at just after eleven, I joined the prayer. I tried to pray for the nation, but I got a distinct feeling---conviction, I should say---to not do so. So I stopped.
Instead I prayed for the people of this country who love God and follow him. Doing that produced no negative response.
So you could very well be right.
