Not true. Churches should be exempt because they are doing the Lord’s work. Do you think being a for profit business will shield them from having to marry Sodomites? Ask the cake company in Oregon...or the bed and breakfast in Colorado...
There is a big difference between tax regulators making demands of a 501c3 and someone having to sue a for-profit.
It’s “NICE” if they can be and the Lord may yet grant it in grace... but if it leads to dictums about what they must do, then they should let it go. Leave it behind. It did not stop the Lord from blessing with the needed grace many decades ago and it won’t now.
