Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Abba, Father Who Art in Heaven,
Blessed Be Your Holy Name!
How we love to sing Your praises,
To Lift Up Your Holy Name in Worship,
For You Alone are Worthy of Praise.
For You are Holy,
Righteous and Just,
And Glorious in Majesty!
You Alone Are The One True God.
Perfect in All Your Ways
Ancient of Days,
King of Kings,
And Lord of Lords!

We Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem,
According to Your Will and Promise.
We Pray For the People and Leaders of Israel,
that They Will Look to You for the Protection
and Prosperity of their Nation.
We Also Pray For Revival in our own Beloved USA.

We Pray For The Swift and Sure Coming of Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Establish His Kingdom,
and Make All Things Right.

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

Hallelujah and Amen

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Although this passage is a mere accounting of Solomon's immense wealth, there are some clues as to the corrupting effect of power and our own sinful nature. In both Deuteronomy and 1 Samuel, potential kings are warned explicitly NOT to multiply unto themselves horses, wives, and other excesses. All through the Torah, the people of Israel are admonished against marrying foreigners who will lead them astray to other gods.

Perhaps one of the most subtle clues is the figure given for the yearly tax revenue...666 talents of gold. We shall see that particular number again, as a Mark without which one can't buy or sell anything. It is in the Book of Revelation and is called "The Number of a Man", although it has become known as "The Mark of the Beast". There is much speculation among Christians as to what this actually is, but it is interesting that , in Solomon's time, that figure represented the annual revenues of a human government full of wealth, power, and indulgence that was about to spin out of control. In the words of an aging, disillusioned Solomon in the Book of Ecclesiastes, "Vanity, Vanity! All is Vanity!"

Come and pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.
