I would disagree lightly on this based on the account we have of David and his son. He expected to see him in the next life.
Please give me some idea on what basis you disagree with my statement in that post....the fact that you don't like it is irrelevant.....if you have grounds to counter my statement, please do so (there are none)
God decides, and yes, it was valid...
No they don't...for a marriage to be annulled, it must be shown that there are valid reasons that a marriage could not have taken place.....Was she your cousin, did she refuse to consider bearing children, are either of you physically unable to engage in sexual intercourse, were either of you previously married and have a living spouse, were you separated at birth to adoptive parents and discover that you are brother and sister, is she a post-operative trans-gender who used to be Fred, did you find out that the ONLY reason that she married you was to gain citizenship to this country.....
And that stuff wasn’t resolved BEFORE the marriage?
No priest should have agreed to marry a couple without first covering those bases.
Stupid, but excuses for church sanctioned divorce abound.
What hypocrisy to condemn divorce and then sanction it under a different name.
He is the only way to salvation, Catholics do not have to go through Mary to do anything....where did you ever get that asinine idea???
Imagine that....and all the protestants on this post seem to agree that works mean nothing....That Rev-20:13 must not have known about sola scriptura.....
There's not a post-op transexual out there who wouldn't admit it either....makes no difference, minus parts, he is still a boy and an "EX" Catholic is still a Catholic....scream it, deny it, wash yourself with lye soap, jump up and down, turn around three times and ride a broom and carry a broom.....doesn't matter at all.
As far as the bad ones are concerned....yup, they're still ours and will be held accountable for their behavior.
Sheep and Goats.
I wonder if the Pope is a sheep or a goat.
I said to myself..."self, can Elsie's naughty Pope list be far behind?"
CRIPES! It’s Hotel Catholicfornia. “..Relax”... the nightman said soothingly...
WOW, pre-destination.....he would have been better off if his mom were a member of planned parenthood.
Sure it did...Christ instituted all 7 sacraments personally and named, by name, the first Pope...the Mass was originated at the last supper and Christ was surrounded by saints....people who would be in Heaven with Him.
Did you miss reading those interesting chapters in the Catholic Bible????
20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
John the Evangelist had a fantastic memory. I don’t think it is failing him here.
There are plenty. I disagree with your doctrine on virtually EVERYTHING. Some examples are, I don't believe the RCC gave us the Bible. I don't believe water baptism does anything but get you wet. I don't believe I can't be water baptized more than once. I don't believe I can't be an ex catholic. The pinged ones, are a few of the ex Catholics, who would also say they can surely be ex Catholics. You think people can get saved and then live like hell. They can't. I believe in Bible only and faith only. I think you were the one who said the Holy Spirit agrees with you all the time. He doesn't. I am sure there are more things we don't agree on, but the MOST IMPORTANT thing we disagree on, is the only thing that matters at all. The plan of salvation. If I am not mistaken, and I rarely am, you don't know till you die, to find out if you can get past St Peter at the Pearly Gates. I believe I can know right NOW, totally, completely, positively, 100% that St Peter will let me into Heaven. That is why I keep telling you I will put in a good word with St Peter for you. St Peter, though he was never a pope, listens to me 100% of the time, so I got juice with him. I feel sorry for people who think they need to wait till they die, to see if they can get into Heaven. What a terrifying possibility. If you want to wait for death to figure that out, that's on you, but you don't have to wait. BTW, you never answered my question, typically, but are you willing to wait until Gabriel blows his horn, to see who gets it right? And another thing, I won't put a bunch of Bible verses in, to back up my points, as many ex Catholics and others have already done that a ton of times, so there's little value in beating that dead horse.
The Sacraments and proper interpretation of the Bible, mainly.
He is the only way to salvation, Catholics do not have to go through Mary to do anything....where did you ever get that asinine idea???
TC....you should know by now I don't make statements that cannot be backed up.
I agree....it's an asinine belief....but catholics are ate up with it.
It is our prayer catholics see the false teachings they have been taught for what they are.
These are just a few....you know there are more.
Mary can be declared by the Church to be not only the helpmate of that Second Divine Person Co-Redemptrix in Salvation, Mediatrix in grace but actually like unto Him....when she acts, it is also He who acts; and that if her intervention be not accepted, neither is His.... Her position as "the first of all creatures, the most acceptable child of God, the nearest and dearest to him," (Cardinal Newman); As Mother of God, says Lepicier, Mary contracts a certain affinity with the Father; · The pre-eminent resemblance which she bears to the Father, which has fitted her to pour out into the world the everlasting light which issues from that loving Father.... He has no children but by her, and communicates no graces but by her...and through her alone does He dispense His favours and His gifts. >In "Glories of Mary" by Liguori, whose writings were declared free from anything meriting censure by Pope Gregory XVI (1839) in the bull of his canonization, he teaches, Beware, chosen soul, of thinking that it is more perfect to direct your work and intention straight to Jesus or straight to God. Without Mary, your work and your intention will be of little value. But if you go to God through Mary, your work will become Mary's work, and consequently will be most noble and most worthy of God. - THE SECRET OF MARY, St. Louis de Montfort; http://www.ewtn.com/library/Montfort/SECRET.HTM
"The union between the Immaculata and the Holy Spirit is so inexpressible, yet so perfect, that the Holy Spirit acts only by the Most Blessed Virgin, his Spouse. This is why she is the mediatrix of all graces given by the Holy Spirit. And since every grace is a gift of God the Father through the Son and by the Holy Spirit, it follows that there is no grace which Mary cannot dispose of as her own, which is not given to her for this purpose." Manteau-Bonamy, Immaculate Conception, 91; F.X. Durrwell, The Holy Spirit of God (Cincinnati: Servant Books, 2006), 183-185.
Richard of St. Laurence encourages sinners to have recourse to this great name, "because it alone will suffice to cure them of all their evils;" and "there is no disorder, however malignant, that does not immediately yield to the power of the name of Mary." St. Alphonsus de Liguori http://www.doctorsofthecatholicchurch.com/AL.html
Ahhhhhh, you are finally beginning to see the light....GOOD MORNING!!!!!
The church recognizes divorce....doesn't sanction it, but recognizes it....what the church does not allow, sanction, nor approve of is remarriage....constitutes living in a state of adultry.
