This is a real hangup for you, isn't it??The scandal concerning priests and homosexuality was fairly shortlived, had to do with molestation of young men and was handled poorly by the church....That having been said, the incidence of homosexuality among Catholic clergy is probably no greater nor less that the incidence in any other occupation.....teachers, nurses, business people, attorneys....whatever.
Homosexuality, in and of itself is not sinful....acting on the urges is, and it is so for everyone, not just clergy.
Abortion on the other hand, which seems to be embraced by non=-Catholics is a MAJOR violation....
Are you a non acting homosexual??? I don't know why else someone would 'dis' the scriptures to justify his sin...

The thoughts are sinful as well as the action. It's a further illustration as to why you can't be "good" enough to get into Heaven.
