Faithful is He that calleth you for He will also do it. ... Many are called but few are chosen. ... Of the many called, why so few chosen? ... Because so few will let Him do it. [Thanks to Maj. Ian Thomas for that syllogism which I heard for the first time decades ago at Shades Mountain Independent Church in Birmingham, AL]

Of the many called, why so few chosen? ... Because so few will let Him do it. According to scripture our Lord chose us and ordained us:
Joh 15:16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
Maj. Ian Thomas was indeed a wonderful man and greatly used by the Lord. However, so was Calvin and Luther.
Protestants need to review their confessions. One should not confuse God using a person with sloppy theology. After all, God used a donkey to admonish Balaam.
