“amending documents” is what Catholics do? I’m thinking they are just explaining how the first document didn’t really say what it said.

“I would say you manifest the gift of confusion in almost all of your postings.”

Confusion is not a gift, but it it were you would be a regular Li Jinyuan.

“Tippi Hedren may disagree.”

No, she wouldn’t.

“Nope. No mind reading.”

R-I-G-H-T.

“John 6 is the catholic go to on this topic.”

I didn’t go to it. Does it bother you to be wrong this often?

“In either case you still need to keep things in context.”

In any case, I’m still right. And I didn’t take anything out of context. If you have a problem understanding scripture, it’s your problem.

Confusion is not a gift...

If not a gift, then it is an art you've bungled.

“If not a gift, then it is an art you’ve bungled.”

If confusion is an art that I have bungled, then that means I have caused no confusion. Apparently you have bungled English.

You just had to be a smart-alec and catch me in my one and only mistake so far this year.

You have to ask yourself, is the RCC teaching angels how to pray to the saints? Is the RCC teaching angels that Mary is a co-redemptrix with Christ? And that the only way to get to Christ and the Father is through Mary? What is the RCC teaching the angels about salvation? And the finished work of Christ?

Good questions SV. I was never taught this when I was a catholic. I was told I could pray to Michael the Archangel, but never heard that anyone was teaching angels. Somehow, I just feel that angels, who are in the presence of God, don't really need humans to teach them anything.

No, I just caught you in one of the many mistakes you have made. There’s nothing smart-alec about it.

I thought the smiley might alert you to the reconciling sort of self-deprecating post I attempted.

So long for now, vladimir.

The times change, we have different issues to deal with. Dogma is immutable.

Thats how we know Rome curses us to hell

“I thought the smiley might alert you to the reconciling sort of self-deprecating post I attempted.”

So you think it is self-deprecating to call someone else a smart-alec?

**Thats how we know Rome curses us to hell**

Once again, for posterity:
From: Lumen Gentium: "Light of Nations"

The Second Vatican Council speaks of salvation outside the Church in Lumen Gentium, nos. 14 and 16. Here are the pertinent sections from those two articles:

14. This Sacred Council wishes to turn its attention firstly to the Catholic faithful. Basing itself upon Sacred Scripture and Tradition, it teaches that the Church, now sojourning on earth as an exile, is necessary for salvation. Christ, present to us in His Body, which is the Church, is the one Mediator and the unique way of salvation. In explicit terms He Himself affirmed the necessity of faith and baptism (cf. Mk 16:16; Jn 3:5) and thereby affirmed also the necessity of the Church, for through baptism as through a door men enter the Church. Whosoever, therefore, knowing that the Catholic Church was made necessary by Christ, would refuse to enter or to remain in it, could not be saved. [. . .]

16. [. . .] Those also can attain to salvation who through no fault of their own do not know the Gospel of Christ or His Church, yet sincerely seek God and moved by grace strive by their deeds to do His will as it is known to them through the dictates of conscience. Nor does Divine Providence deny the helps necessary for salvation to those who, without blame on their part, have not yet arrived at an explicit knowledge of God and with His grace strive to live a good life. Whatever good or truth is found amongst them is looked upon by the Church as a preparation for the Gospel. She knows that it is given by Him who enlightens all men so that they may finally have life.

You expressed a different opinion in a previous post: then you yourself spoke of some Protestants who were "not saved" and going to hell. I can cite it if you like; it also had a laundry list of people of other faiths you also deem worthy of hell- ending with Catholics.

Of course, you're "saved" and going straight to heaven- apparently God is not the ultimate Judge anymore.
Back to the sidebar now?

"-apparently God is not the Ultimate judge anymore."

You don't see the irony in this, do you Grateful? BTW: Just WHAT are you "Grateful2God for? It cannot possibly be the finished work of Christ on your behalf for your salvation, otherwise you would see that God IS the ULTIMATE JUDGE PERSONIFIED in this act of sending His Son to die for our sins. So that by His GRACE we are saved through faith, NOT OF WORKS (Eph. 2:8). And you would be preaching reconciliation to God by Jesus Christ (2 Cor.5:14-21), just as RnMomof7, metmom, and countless others in the Body of Christ do EVERYDAY. To the joy of God and the complete hatred and loathing of satan.
