You haven’t dealt with what the gospels DO say about her.
“All generations will call me blessed.”
That doesn’t sound like a person who is going to be unimportant to all generations of Christians.
That’s in St. Luke’s gospel. Do YOU call her “blessed”? Or do you dismiss her as unimportant?
You don’t take Scripture very seriously, do you?
And she was truly blessed. But...
Luke 11:27 While Jesus was saying these things, one of the women in the crowd raised her voice and said to Him, "Blessed is the womb that bore You and the breasts at which You nursed." 28 But He said, "On the contrary, blessed are those who hear the word of God and observe it."
However, Christianity's problem with catholicism is that catholicism has gone way, way, way, way beyond the text in what is accorded Mary.
It is apparent from this that catholics do not take Scripture very seriously....for if they would they would not be worshipping Mary as they are doing and continue to advocate.
