Catholic Priest: I Was Fired For Supporting LGBT Community By David K. Li May 17, 2015 | 11:13am Modal Trigger
The Newark Archdiocese allegedly fired a Seton Hall University priest because of his support of gay and lesbian students.
The Rev. Warren Hall, who was among the schools visible employees as director of campus ministry at his alma mater, stunned students by announcing his own ousting via Twitter on Friday.
Ive been fired from SHU for posting a pic on FB supporting LGBT `NO H8, he wrote, according to NJ Advance Media. Im sorry it was met with this response. Ill miss my work here.
That statement was no longer on his Twitter feed by Sunday morning.

He wasnt fired, he was reassigned.
A nice way of saying he can go somewhere else and do the same thing.

Discuss the issues all you want, but do not make it personal

So if they die because of their sin, you are implying that God killed them.
Job 1:
19 And, behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness, and smote the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.
20 Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped,
21 And said, Naked came I out of my mothers womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.
22 In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.

Leviticus 20: 13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death ; their blood shall be upon them.
Examining the grammar of this verse, it simply states that men who engage in certain activities will be put to death; it does not specify who does (or should) put them to death. Rev. 20-21 specifies that the Lake of Fire is the second death. I am unable to throw someone into the Lake of Fire. So I am unable to be the cause of their second death. Can I be the cause of their first death?
First, I would need to ascertain whether or not the person has actually committed the crime in question. For example a court of law. The next question is whether or not I should actually put someone to death who has engaged in sodomy. When presented with someone who had engaged in adultery, Jesus first said that the person who is without sin may throw the first stone. I am not without sin, ergo I should not throw the first stone. If you can find someone who is without stone, maybe then they can throw the first stone.
Finally James 5:20, "'Whoever turns a sinner from the error of their way will save them from death and cover over a multitude of sins." It is better to get a sinner to turn to God than to put him to death and cut him off from God forever (the sinner though actually has to choose God).
However, this verse concludes with "their blood shall be upon them." Sodomy (and promiscuity in general) has higher rates of illnesses and diseases transmitted by mixing blood.
None of the above should be taken as an endorsement of sodomy because it is not. Sodomy is a sin, but it is better to pray for a sinner than to put him to death (excepting the question of public safety, e.g. a madman going on a shooting rampage).

(Mary is understood by the heart, not study of scripture.)
