Oh I addressed your point all right. I'll try to put it a little differently. Attempts to stifle those who would defend the word of God take on many forms. You specifically stated that you questioned the "monomaniacal focus, as well as the propriety, on a site of otherwise shared political, social, and moral values" as if the defense of God's word should be restricted to some venue you didn't specify. If you wish to focus on those "political, social, and moral values" without discussion of scriptural basis then I would suggest you might want to consider not opening religion forum topics.
>>Would you work with me in attempting to stop a planned parenthood sex ed program from being forced upon students in the public schools?<<
Of course. That is not simply a religious issue. The ramifications are societal as well.
>>Would you join together in a prayer session at the end of a strategizing session to put a good Conservative into elective office?<<
Not if that included praying to so called "saints" and Mary.
>>The reason I ask is I see that a religious discussion would not bear fruit; despite our differences, however, might you see us as fellow Christians on the same team against secular humanistic Progressivism?<<
I see us as fellow citizens working on those issues.
