While this may not be what you interpret Rome as teaching, yet as i had just provided , Cardinal Avery Dulles did claim , "People cannot discover the contents of revelation by their unaided powers of reason and observation. They have to be told by people who have received in from on high." Well, he's wrong in that as well.
People can only understand spiritual truths as it is revealed to them by the Holy Spirit.
Hearing it from fellow men does not give spiritual insight.

There’s a term in Physics, ‘resonance’, which might apply here. Since believers have the earnest of their inheritance in their born again spirit (the Holy Spirit in you), perhaps truth resonates with that presence, reverberating throughout the soul of the new born.

I suspect it is that principle of resonance which will accomplish the ‘changed in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye’ written about in 1Cor15.
