You make an assertion, and then quote a Scripture verse that flatly contradicts what you have just said: This was a judgment of rewards , not salvation.

Mat 16:27"For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father, with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works."

Jesus tells the good people to enter into eternal happiness, and he tells the bad people to enter into eternal fire. This isn't about salvation????????

Jesus tells the good people to enter into eternal happiness, and he tells the bad people to enter into eternal fire. This isn't about salvation????????

"Mat 25;34Then the King will say to those on His right, 'Come, you who are blessed of My Father, INHERIT the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.

Note the word INHERIT ..NO ONE EARNS an inheritance .He does not say, "Enter the kingdom." Instead, He proclaims: " Inherit the kingdom."If I say I ENTER a building ..that is far different than INHERITING the building..

Context is always important when dividing the word of God...This was one of a series of parables given by Christ and recorded together in Mat 25

The four parables which come before this parable (Mat 24:42-25:30) are all about REWARDS God is giving to His faithful and the lack of rewards for the ones without faith

Mat 16:27"For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father, with his angels; and then he shall REWARD every man according to his works."

Arthur notice at the end of the parable the sheep were unaware of ever doing anything for Jesus... they were not seeking salvation or a reward ..Mat 25:37"Then the righteous will answer Him, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You something to drink? 38'And when did we see You a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You? 39'When did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?' 40"The King will answer and say to them, 'Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.'…

...Colossians 3:23-24 Regarding slaves/servants, Paul said, "Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men; knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance. It is the Lord whom you serve."
