Heb 9:26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

The verse does not say, but now once in the end of the world has he appeared to demonstrate how He had put away sin from the foundation of the world, but it says, but now once in the end of the world has He appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself...

Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
Heb 9:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

Mat 20:28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

Although Jesus didn't show up the first time with sin, he had to be able to bear our sin...And give his life...This couldn't be if he was Crucified from the foundation of the world...

To take a single verse in isolation and build a doctrine on it is false teaching...So to take that route, one can not just stop there...We must have been redeemed since the foundation of the world...The second Coming of Jesus has already happened since the foundation of the world...The Great White Throne Judgment has already taken place...

Why do they, I wonder, start and stop with the Crucifixion???

I think you are missing the difference between what is done in time (which is limited) and what is done in eternity (which is infinite.)

Jesus was crucified and died, once, and that's it. On a particular day, at a particular hour of the day, He died commending his spirit into the hands of the Father, as a once-and-only-once expiatory sacrifice to take away the sins of the world.

The "Lamb that was slain before the foundation of the world" is obviously Christ; but that doesn't mean that Jesus was crucified before the world even began, or that He is crucified over and over. It does mean, though, that His entire oblation to the Father has an aspect which is beyond Time and rooted in Eternity.

Indeed.  The atonement was foreordained to happen, it happened, and it has ongoing significance, ongoing consequences.  But it is a finished event.  Our participation in it is forensic.  By Christ's death our own sin was judged and punished.  All of this flows naturally from the Biblical text.

But the notion of a mystical transport into the event itself, escaping time to become part of an oblation that has no time value, is a theory that has no hook in Scripture on which to hang its hat.  God presents all of these things to us in a temporal framework. That is His chosen mode of revelation, an expression of His sovereign will for us.  The things He has not revealed to us belong to Him alone, and we are unwise to speculate where we are uninvited.  The things He has revealed are more than enough to keep our tiny minds occupied until the day of His return.  And He has told us, not that He would be corporeally with us disguised as bread and wine while we waited for that day, but that He would send us the Holy Spirit Himself as our Helper and Companion and Royal Seal of God's acceptance of us as His children, while we wait for our Savior to return.  I do not understand the desire to trade down from these glories to the misguided theories of medieval monks.  I truly do not.

BTW, I should note that I am glad to be with you this afternoon to share these thoughts.  A couple of hours ago, I was nearly run down in front of the state capitol here in sunny Springfield Illinois.  It was a surreal experience.  I am crossing the street, and a young woman comes careening out of a left turn right at me as though she didn't see me at all.  In a moment I realized there was no way to step back in time.  I felt, for a split second, totally helpless. But at the same time, totally at peace. She did see me, and stopped just in time. I resumed walking, and went on my way, pretty much as if nothing had happened.  Except that it had, and I wanted to mention it here to give praise to Jesus my Savior, Who creates worlds, calms the seas, and directs traffic in Springfield, Illinois, all with equal ease. :)  Praise His mighty name!  So be it.

Peace,

SR
