Yes, all is useless without belief in the Eucharist.
“Then Jesus said to them: Amen, amen I say unto you: Except you eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, you shall not have life in you.” John 6:53
This is a belief held even before the Bible was assembled by the Catholic Church in AD 382, and it is the same John in 21: 25 who wrote: “But there are also many other things which Jesus did; which, if they were written every one, the world itself, I think, would not be able to contain the books that should be written.”
Written Word, Sacred Oral Tradition (see prior post) and the actual practice of the early disciples and followers of Christ in his command to teach speak ONE truth to Peter and his successors through ONE Church for ALL time.
So which is it? Eating Jesus or believing on him? Or being born again?
Where is eating referred to in these passages if it's so critical?
John 3:3-8 Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Nicodemus said to him, “How can a man be born when he is old? John 5:24 Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.

John 11:25-26 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?”
