As I said, Baptism and the Eucharist are two of the means of salvation provided for us by Christ. If you know that, and yet you refuse them, that would be a serious sin. There are more.

There are NONE.

Jesus is the only way to salvation. Not works, not sacraments (man established works), not nothing but Jesus.

Either His death on the cross was enough, or it wasn't. There's no religious activity that we can do that will impart spiritual life to a person.

We're told by Catholics that baptism saves except when it doesn't or it can't.

Then the eucharist saves, except when it doesn't or can't.

Sometimes a combination of them saves, except when they don't or can't.

It's a buffet style salvation, picking and choosing what you want that will contribute to salvation, maybe, if you're lucky and hit the right combination.

Adding all those extras is just hedging your bets, hoping that if one doesn't really work after all, the others will be there as a safety net.

IOW, the person doing that doesn't really trust ANY of it to actually save him.

No! Jesus saves and saves to the uttermost those who come to HIM.

Hebrews 7:22-25 This makes Jesus the guarantor of a better covenant. The former priests were many in number, because they were prevented by death from continuing in office, but he holds his priesthood permanently, because he continues forever. Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.

John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Acts 4:12 And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

Galatians 2:15-16 We ourselves are Jews by birth and not Gentile sinners; yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified.

1 Timothy 2:5-6 For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time.

>>Jesus is the only way to salvation. Not works, not sacraments (man established works), not nothing but Jesus.<<

I pray that Catholics come to realize that truth. It's only the Holy Spirit who can open their eyes. We can only present the truths from scripture.

You address some critical points. Before the New Covenant we had types and shadows. Then Christ fulfilled those types and shadows. Why Christians want to use more types and shadows for the Real Christ, I don’t know.

Baptism represents something real. The real death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The Lord’s Supper represents His sacrifice for us. “Do this in remembrance.”
