I’m confused. Am I supposed to be the newcomer here? I joined Free Republic in 1998. So 17 years ago. If I have posted anything that has said that non-Catholics go to hell, I apologize. I don’t think I have but without going back and rereading all my posts I can’t know for sure. I grew up in a home where my mother and grandmother were not Catholics and so I’m pretty sure I never believed that they were going to hell. My mother converted to the Catholic Church at the age of 78. She didn’t have to go through RCIA because she had taken three children through the Baltimore Catechism. She made a profession of faith, was confirmed and received Communion and at the end, Last Rites. In a very cherry fashion she told the priest that she had no sins to confess and that she wasn’t going to Purgatory since she had suffered so much pain in her last year on earth. I’m pretty sure she was right on both counts.
I hope you both have a blessed Good Friday and Easter season. Thank you both for your concern for my immortal soul but daniel1212 I did learn in 8 years in Al-Anon that God doesn’t have any grandchildren. This is my relationship with Him. I hope that understanding that gives you peace.
Have a beautiful Triduum, and may God bless you!
At this point i am not sure who that was said to, but newcomer refers to a newcomer in regularly posting on these threads, thus evidencing one is qualified to opine that one side is being victimized, while being a veteran here who saves most of his postings, i can evidence otherwise.

Referencing that does not mean you did so, but that this is one of the many claims of other RCs against Prots.
