It is not illogical for the Church, instituted by Jesus Christ Himself, would call itself the one true Church.
If that is your only example, it is quite thin.
God had the Catholic Church organize the Scripture. Luther decided to tamper with it. Who is opposing God there?
Do you hold love or hatred for your enemies? Contempt is not love.
