A lot of people confuse OSAS with Perseverance of the Saints.

To the born-again (of the Spirit) believers in and followers of the Lord Jesus Christ alone, all this really isn't of personal concern. The Holy Spirit (Who directed the writing of the Holy Bible) confirms what is true.

But is IS moreso a concern for those who rely on their religion and their expectation that their church membership and good deeds are sufficient to carry them (hopefully) past the first death.
