It's very right to want to dedicate beautiful things to God --- stained glass windows, magnificent art and architecture, and all the rest of it.

That's why there are pages and pages n the Books o Moses about the splendid adornments of the Temple in Jerusalem.

People consider it fitting to give their best to God. This is not to be mocked.

Christians don't have a temple in Jerusalem...Christians don't have a temple in Rome...

Jesus is the temple of Christians...Not some building...That's why Jesus and the apostles never spoke of adorning a physical church...

Mat_6:19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
Mat_6:20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

That means no fancy buildings...No gold ornaments and vessels...No expensive tapestries...Not too hard to figure out...
