Three Words Catholics Do Not Understand
It Is Finished - Three Words Catholics Do Not Understand
The perfect, all-sufficient sacrifice of Christ that satisfied divine justice for all believers was accomplished 2000 years ago. Jesus cried out in victory - "It is finished." The work of salvation is done. The eternal debt for sin has been paid in full. No more offerings, no more sacrifices, no more priests! The Lord Jesus willingly died for mans sins to pay the debt that we could never pay. He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness: by His wounds you have been healed" (1 Peter 2:24). Yet Catholics instead choose to trust in the sacrifice of the Mass, a blasphemous representation of a eucharistic Christ on an altar. They would rather trust the Sacrifice of the Mass as a sin offering to God rather than trusting in the one-time, all-sufficient, sacrifice of Christ.
Jesus appeared to take away sins once for all" by His sacrifice" (Hebrews 9:26). Through His blood God made Him the means of expiation (of sin) for all who believe" (Romans 3:25). Vatican II denies these sacred Scriptures by teaching: Sins must be expiated...on this earth through the sorrows, miseries and trials of this life and, a above all, through death. Otherwise the expiation must be made in the next life through fire and torments or purifying punishments (Vatican Council II). What a terrible deception to impose on faithful Roman Catholics who look to their church for the truth! The very reason and purpose Christ became man and suffered such an excruciating death was to expiate sin, once and for all, by His perfect sacrifice. How can any church, which claims to follow Christ, withhold this truth from its people and create in its place doctrines that nullify the Savior's finished work?
Roman Catholic teachings also nullify another accomplishment of Christ, the purification of sins. The writer of the book of Hebrews declared that "when He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high" (Heb. 1:3). The apostle John also proclaimed that those who trust Christ are purified from all sin, by His blood (1 John 1:7). Vatican Council II states that purgatory is where "those
who have not made satisfaction with adequate penance for their sins and omissions are cleansed after death with punishments designed to purge away their debt. Jesus reconciled the world to God, changing its relationship with God from hostility to harmony. The sinner is reconciled to God when he trusts in Christ as his Savior. "It is in Christ and through His blood that we have been redeemed and our sins are forgiven" (Eph. 1:7). Being reconciled to God is difficult for Catholics to comprehend, for they have been taught the only way to made peace with God is through a life long journey of works--receiving the sacraments, going to Mass and doing penance. The only response to the accomplishments of Christ that will reconcile anyone to God is repentance and faith.

You and I simply differ on what qualifies as Scriptural.
Why? Capital S means the Holy Bible.

Jesus is the Son of David as well as the Son of God. He sits on the Throne of David or else God's promise to David was not fulfilled. No it has not been fulfilled...Jesus does not sit on the throne of David...Jesus sits at the right hand of his Father's throne in heaven...
David was in charge of an earthly kingdom...Not a heavenly kingdom...
Around Him are His ministers for the administration of His Kingdom.
Wrong again...Jesus has only one minister at the moment and he's not a Catholic...Jesus' current minister is the Holy Spirit...
That scripture has exactly zero to do with the New Testament church...
Your religion has created a religion wholly outside of the scriptures and located a few remote scriptures that it uses to try to back up the religion...
Like your St Joseph for example...God's words says next to nothing about Joseph yet your religion has invented a complete narrative about Joseph based on nothing but fantasy...

You're discounting solid scripture that plainly says that your “surety of the Spirit” is grossly misunderstood.
For the plainest language:
2Peter
[20] For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
[21] For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
[22] But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.
For a fuller explanation by a man known for his deep explanations:
Hebrews 6:
[1] Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
[2] Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
[3] And this will we do, if God permit.
[4] For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
[5] And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
[6] If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
[7] For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:
[8] But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.
These scriptures make it plain that they are talking about men that had received the Holy Spirit, yet later turned away.
This is not a failure of the Holy Spirit, but of men that were turned away of their own lusts.

Sometimes I wonder why I bother. You simply stop up your ears and refuse to engage the conversation with anything but condescension. Im sick of these straw man threads day after day. Though this is the first one i have seen lately by Gendron, who is not the sane class as James Swan and company, it is not strawmen but Catholic teaching or that which RCs teach that is being refuted.
And the recent regular postings against Cath doctrine came after years of incessant Cath. postings about their elitist church, including anti-Protestant propaganda. Which resulted in RCs whining when reproved. And in response to telling them RCs invited it by their f incessant Cath. posting, some invitated (or challenged) us to post our own. So here they are and yet RCs still whine.

Furthermore, Mary will be greatly distressed when she rises from the dead at the Resurrection and discovers that men had built a world-wide religion incorporating a pagan goddess that utilizes Marys name and drank her Sons literal blood and ate His literal body.

I said nothing. What did your posting "Pro_4:2 For I give you good doctrine, forsake ye not my law (Torah)." mean regarding the doctrine of sola scriptura?
Do the words of YHWH fail?
My argument is that sola scriptura fails. First it fails it's own test by not being in scripture; second, it fails in practice, resulting in contradictory doctrine.
If your post is irrelevant to sola scriptura as a doctrine, then.. never mind.

Yeshua said that!
Matthew 5:
[13] Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
[14] Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
[15] Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
[16] Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
[17] Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
[18] For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
[19] Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Sounds like some eucharising is going on here.
Doesn't pertain to true believers in Lord Jesus Christ who persevere and overcome by the blood of The Lamb, by the Word of their (our) testimony, and because they (we) didn't love their (our) lives to the (first) death.

The Church takes much greater pains to explain deep theology in such bodies of work as the Summa Theologica, Papal Encyclicals, the homilies and writings of the Doctors of the Church, et al, than can adequately be explained through trite jargon. When you try, you set up straw men arguments that are nothing but nonsense... they make you feel superior to your target but truly say nothing about the subject. In reality, I find RCs are typically rather ignorant of what their church teaches, and the degree of interpretation such are is subject to, and what magisterial level it belongs to, as seen by her sects, esp. with the apparent contradictions among the plethora of prolix publications by prelates.
RCs also have a great deal of liberty to interpret Scripture in ways to support Rome, while censuring us for engaging in "private interpretation, which they wrongly interpret 2Pt. 1:20 as condemning!
Yet the weight of Scriptural substantiation is not the basis for RC assurance of Truth, but which based upon the novel premise of perpetual ensured magisterial infallibility.

That argument was settled in my mind a long time ago.
YOU are the one having trouble comprehending how the Spirit-filled believer's life in Christ causes Calvinists, Arminianismists, and other "ists" to be saved by faith alone in Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God.
I've given up being interested in vain arguments like the one you presented to me which detract from the danger of life outside of Christ and in bondage still to sin.
