yes adultery is a sin but what scripture is it mentioned where they can’t take Communuion.

Since the early Church, based on Scripture Christians have believed that there are venial sins and mortal sins (I John 5:16-18), and that 1 Corinthians 11 is in reference to mortal sins and the reception of Holy Communion:

Christ said in scripture that he who divorces and marries another commits adultery. From earliest times Christians have believed that adultery is one of those sinse described in I John 5:16-18.
