I’m not at all surprised by “Salvation’s” response: Defend the Catholic Church at all costs.
It's the teacher, Ms. Jannuzzi, who is defending the Catholic Church in the way most indispensible in our day: by defending Catholic moral doctrine, known to us by both Natural and Divine Law.
Jannuzzi seems to have imbibled the same attitude as our dear Pope Francis and his predecessor:

"Let us not be naive: this [same-sex 'marriage' bill)is not simply a political struggle, but it is an attempt to destroy God’s plan. It is not just a bill (a mere instrument) but a ‘move’ of the father of lies who seeks to confuse and deceive the children of God.'
His predecessor, Benedict XVI:
"The family, based on the marriage of a man and a woman . . . is not a simple social convention, but rather the fundamental cell of every society. Consequently, policies which undermine the family threaten human dignity and the future of humanity itself.”
They went rather farther than Ms. Jannuzzi did.
