Now I’m embarrassed that I feel so weak!! Ok, if she can do it, many times, then surely I can do this. Although I’d give a lot to have my son back. He called me last night. Distant, no offer of coming over or helping. But now he can say he called me.
Nothing to be embarrassed by.
That is pretty much standard.
And commiserating does help I hear.
We can at least be a shoulder and an ear.

But here I am, although growing old is every bit
as hard.
