What is he relaying to his church members when he tells them that he is speaking infallibly, isn’t it something that he got from God?

Not in the sense of prophecy, but only in the general sense that all things which are true come from God as primary source (usually via secondary sources.). If I say "Water is wet," that's true and it is ultimately founded in God, but it is not a prophetical utterance.

The canonization of saints, for instance, is not a prophetical utterance. It's not "Thus saith the Lord." That's all. I have to go now.
