That is a disgusting and pagan thing to do. You don’t “eat” Jesus, nor is that what He commanded. He died ONCE for all, for the sins of the world, and He does not need to be sacrificed again and again and again. I have always been amazed at the Romanist viewpoint on what is CLEARLY symbolic teaching from Jesus. CLEARLY.

Clearly we are most fortunate that Zwingly came along in the 16th Century to correct the Christ’s Church on the sacrament of Holy Eucharist.

Jesus said repeatedly that we must eat his flesh and drink his blood in order to have eternal life.

When some of his hearers expressed outrage and horror, his response was not to explain and modify his words, showing that they had misunderstood. Instead, he repeated and intensified his words.

I have seen many bend themselves into pretzels trying to “explain” that the words “flesh” and “blood” really mean “faith.” But Jesus was perfectly capable of demanding “faith” without causing confusion by couching it in terms of eating his flesh and drinking his blood.
