Sorry, you're wrong....Catholicism is not a denomination...it is pure Christianity....when you are Baptized, you are baptized Christian....and that is, by definition, Catholic. There are those who for some unexplained reason choose not to participate in Christ's church but want to remain Christian....they are called protestants.
I was baptized as a baby into the Roman Catholic church without my knowledge or consent. It was done TO me. But it wasn't until my baptism at a little Southern Baptist church - after I came to the knowledge of the truth of the gospel of the grace of God and received Jesus Christ as my Savior - that it was a genuine baptism into the family of God. This was my outward act of identifying with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ and that from henceforth I would walk in newness of Life. It was my answer of a good conscience before God of what HE had done within my soul. That really is the ONLY baptism that counts.
