It most certainly is in there. It's in there 34 times.
Revelation 22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book (βιβλίον - biblion), If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book (βιβλίον - biblion):
Luke 4:17 And there was delivered unto him the book (βιβλίον - biblion) of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book (βιβλίον - biblion), he found the place where it was written,
Revelation 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book (βιβλίον - biblion) of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
Where do they think the word "Bible" comes from?
Whatever, Art. I didn’t mention the invention of the printing press. If you want to talk about printing presses I suppose we can, but I said NOTHING about them.
You said “it was all due to the releasing the grip of Rome.” If by that you meant England’s rise as a world power would not have happened without Tyndale’s Bible and the Reformation, we agree. Typically there is an inverse relationship between Rome’s influence and the prosperity of a nation.
Oh sorry...I didnt know there was a minimum age limit for being reborn in water through Christ...
I must have missed that one in the manual...
I’m still wondering why protestants waited 1500 years after the death of christ to show up...
Before Luther...there was no such thing as a protestant.
And if protestants believe only in the written word....doesnt that include the 39 books of the old testiment as well?
Like Leviticus?
“If a man commits adultery with the wife of his neighbor, both the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.”
...or do you pick and choose what written words to follow?
It has to be wilful blindness not to see that. It's like the public schools taking any reference to God out of it's curriculum. It's stunning to watch as Catholics deny the true history of that church.
“But Catholics say that baptism saves and causes one to be born again. / Then they say it’s the eucharist. / Which is it? Does baptism save or not? Is the baby not really saved until they eat Jesus after all?”
Metmom, don’t you know that baptized Catholics are only JURIDICALLY so, while the flesh and blood are LITERALLY so?
Pretzel logic is not birthed of Truth, but of Tradition.
Had forgotten about Foxs Book of Martyrs. Difficult book to read, but beneficial for some to understand what suffering for the Name of Lord Jesus Christ can actually look like.
Am in agreement with your post #50. Thank you.
I see that now ;)
Thank you for posting that. And yet they will deny.
Yet ya'll still default to catholic.
It's used 34 times in scripture still you claim to be right?
Do you have a Bible collecting dust somewhere?
Recommend you do what St Augustine did and Take up and read.
You might not want to take what Jesus said so flippantly. Not good for you.
Just sayin'.
Do you believe the Roman Catholic baptisms of Franco, Mussolini, and Hitler accomplished anything for them? They didn’t exactly exhibit the winsome work of the Holy Spirit now did they?
I know for sure their Roman baptisms did nothing positive for the world.
Not what Jesus said though.
to bad the majority of what you read is prot trash. Go to secular sources.

And Tyndale's translation was terrible, that is why it was banned.
Catholics are Christians.
