In Jewish circles (and Jewish Christian circles) there is an emphasis on this aspect of the Saturday sabbath, and at least that makes sense.
I don`t know why but it seems that every issue imaginable is being used to put different Christian groups in opposition to each other.
And while we are taught to beware of false teachers I think it is going over board a bit to equate people who don`t believe in the young earth to evolutionists.
I do not believe in the six 24 hour day creation because it goes on to say generations.
If we take the day as literal we should also take generation as literal which completely changes the picture.
