My comments were directed to Roland Barnes, not the person who posted a one-year-old article.

Roland Barnes appears to me to be very anti-Catholic, so his judgmental criticism is not surprising.

Fasting and penance are mentioned many times in the Bible — and that’s basically what Lenten Observance is, a sacrifice undertaken (by Catholics, at least) with some humility, which seems to be lacking in Roland Barnes writings.

I am interested in knowing how you personally define humility. What does it mean personally to you and can you describe what a humble person looks like?
