All your Scripture is a diversion unless you can tell me which line of the song says to keep sinning.
Grace is and event that indeed shows itself the minute we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior and its Grace that continues to save us.
“How precious did that Grace appear The hour I first believed.”
It did and does appear when we first accept him (born again), but continues as we still sin in life. You must not be a born again Christian.
John 3:3 New Revised Standard Version Catholic Edition (NRSVCE)
3 Jesus answered him, Very truly, I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God without being born from above.
Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far,
And grace will lead me home.
One time Event... AND GRACE WILL LEAD ME HOME sounds like something to be with us until the end.
While you might not like the song, but to say it it wrong by Scripture is just not true.
My tagline used to read: "It is impossible to have an intelligent debate with a prot.", for a completely valid reason
“Where did I say it said to keep sinning? The answer is no where.”
Everyone of the Scriptures you posted talks about continued sinning so what was your point exactly?
If you would only read your own Bible you would realize that your Catechism and Bible don’t line up with one another. One of them is wrong and your betting your soul on following one of them to the letter.
John 3:6 ESV / No one who abides in him keeps on sinning; no one who keeps on sinning has either seen him or known him.
1 John 3:9 ESV /No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God’s seed abides in him, and he cannot keep on sinning because he has been born of God.
Hebrews 10:26 ESV /For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,
spoke as someone who has never studied the Bible or the catechism. I just completed a year long simultaneous study of both of them. further if you had actually read the verses I posted you would see that they all referred to being "perfected" which is the object (end result) of grace. since you can't enter heaven unless you are "perfect" or "filled with grace."
Actually you are avoiding the answer! Your Scripture post referred to the act of continued sinning and not about perfecting and Grace. Actually I have studied both and can read and see that both of them don’t agree. It’s funny that you must read and study them together to align themselves, good luck and God Bless.
I answered it, you apparently didn't like the answer.
Actually I have studied both and can read and see that both of them dont agree.
Then get someone to explain them to you.
Its funny that you must read and study them together to align themselves, good luck and God Bless.
No, it just works out that way, the truth always lines up.
On the subject of Watt's hymns, I will say that some of his work puts too much emphasis on rhyme for the sake of rhyme.
An interesting review. >>
It sure is, can you add me to the ping list please?
