Full title: Christian Blogger Veronica Partridge Says She Is 'Under Attack From Satan' After Post Claiming Leggings Tempt Men Draws Criticism
A Christian blogger under fire for saying women who wear leggings inadvertently risk tempting members of the opposite sex, says that she and her husband are under attack from Satan.
Oregon resident Veronica Partridge, 25, sparked a firestorm of criticism earlier this month when she said she had chosen to stop wearing leggings as pants in public to honor her Christian faith in a candid blog post that went viral.
"I've had a lot of both positive and negative responses, probably more negative than positive ... it's definitely not what I was expecting," Partridge told The Christian Post exclusively.
In her 500-word blog post, Partridge, who prides herself on having "your not-so-average Christian family," shared that she made the decision to stop wearing leggings in public two months ago after having an honest conversation with her husband Dale. He admitted to her that for him it is "hard not to look" at other women in leggings.

She is gorgeous, leotards are....yes sexy, but VERY modest...they cover up everything. Tennis skirts, skating skirts, are a lot more explicit....and that asinine ring in her nose removes ALL credibility from her post...ALL OF IT.
Take the hog ring out of her nose and I’d find it hard to look at any OTHER woman.
Except my wife, of course.
Leggings ARE sexy - that’s controversial?
She may want to invest in a burka if she’s worried about tempting other men.
I always get weary when I hear that Christians are under attack from Satan.
Don’t they know that we are always under attack from him under whatever guise he chooses to use?
Just my two cents in this whole thing but it sounds to me like the issue is with her husband and not women in leggings. Her husband was the one staring at other women and she blogged about it. If she wants to wear what she considers “modest” then go for it. However, if you list clothing that looks attractive on a woman (especially a pretty one) you will also ban skirts and dressed at the knee or above, heels, tank tops, short sleeved shirts etc... So, yes.. she may want a burka.
Seriously? You haven’t seen all the women and girls walking around in their pantyhose? All searching boots, too.
dresses not dressed
I have a feeling that the ring in her nose also goes through her brain.
These are the only leggings I knew before this post.
1 Timothy 2:9 does tell women dress modestly.
As for her nose ring, I think the Bible would be against it per Leviticus 19:28 and 1 Corinthians 6:19-20.

You’re right. I was thinking of those leg warmers they wore back then. I haven’t heard the term leggings in a long time though.
Leggings today are very tight and not very substantial. They leave little to the imagination and do not look good on most women, even those who are not fat. They are not what I wore that were called leggings when I was a teen.
Very few women can wear them and wear them well.
Same for *skinny jeans*.
An atrocity.
And yes, I can see where they would be a problem for men and it's not the man's fault and that's because he's wired the way he is.
Women need to respect that and not dress in a way that entices them and then blames them when they react in the way they were designed to.
A little consideration on the part of women towards men would be nice but the problem is, men have been so denigrated by society in the last few decades that women don't seem to feel the need to treat them with the courtesy and respect they deserve, too.
Baby steps, man, baby steps.
It’s not like she’s going to walk around in a cadaver bag.
Good for her
'She's got leggings...'
“What a feeling,
I can’t stop believing...”
My wife was looking over my shoulder (which is common. lol) and said to click on this thread. She emphatically agrees with you:

At the mall I once asked her, “why are all these women wearing designer pantyhose, with nothing over them?”
She knew I was being silly, smirked, and replied, “They know what they are doing”.
I’m so glad the Lord encouraged my wife to dress modestly. She’s still a knockout at 57, and only I know just how much of a knockout.
