Whaaaat?
1 Timothy 2:5 King James Version (KJV)
5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
I'd be interested in the Scripture references, chapter and verse, where those terms are found in relation to Mary.
And here is what the Holy Spirit says about Mary.....
The Holy Spirit is clear in Scripture in calling Mary *the mother of Jesus*.
John 2:1 On the third day there was a wedding at Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there.
John 2:3 When the wine ran out, the mother of Jesus said to him, They have no wine.
Acts 1:14 All these with one accord were devoting themselves to prayer, together with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and his brothers.
"Co" in the sense of cooperation, not co-president.
IOW, Mary's cooperation with the Will of God brought our Redeemer and Mediator into the world. In this sense, she is our Co-Redemptrix and Co-Mediatrix. She is not divine.
The terms are ambiguous and confusion regarding their meaning is understandable.
My take, for what it is worth: God understands what the people who do this intend, though being hurt that they don’t yet give Him enough credit to personally receive their prayers. And He still blesses to an extent. But He really wants people to know that they can rely DIRECTLY upon Him. You don’t have to cringe and ask the “Queen.” Ask the King!
I have the utmost respect for Mary as the woman who was blessed to bring about by sinless birth the Messiah.
With that said, Mary the Mother of God, perpetual virginity and assumption into heaven and queenship is simply not scriptural.
Show me biblical scripture that proves the above and I will believe it. It's not there. Mary was a created being that found favor with God, but so was numerous others throughout the bible.
Seems in some catholic circles, there is much more emphasis on Mary than on the Messiah Jesus. Looks backward to me.
