Grace doesn’t remove sin, it is the state we are in when we are free of sin, and can share in the Divine life.
Where sin abounds, grace much more abounds.
We are NEVER free of sin experientially in this body.
Positionally, in Christ, we are.
However, what Catholics call being in a state of grace, IOW, being free of sin, is not found in Scripture.
