I think circumcision is probably a good healthy practice but you’re right ....that procedure done at that age is not the right thing....let him grow to be a man, and he could have it done then if he wants...
But...it’s kind of like tonsils... If they’re removed as a young child it’s not even traumatic. Wait till you’re an adult and it’s pretty darn painful.
Especially since there are no religious reasons or as far as we know health reasons for the procedure in this instance.
