Thank you for your explanation. But how can it be called “Good News” or “salvation” if one doesn’t know or can’t know if he/she/? makes it into heaven until it is too late to do anything about it?
It seems a more just way would be to provide a way to know now and provide a means to live out that way than to provide the means but never know if it is enough until it is too late.
That is why Jesus told the Apostles to go and Baptize and Preach the Good Word. The Church faithful are also expected to spread the Word and by example of their lives.
Matthew 28:19
18* g Then Jesus approached and said to them, All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19h Go, therefore,* and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit, 20i teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.* And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age
