The Pope is a Jesuit, but it’s pretty meaningless. When a member of a religious order becomes a bishop, he is released from his vows. He is no longer a subject of any superior in the order he belonged to.
It definitely does NOT mean that the Jesuits suddenly have all sorts of power and influence in the Vatican.
The Jesuits are dying out, fast. The youngest Jesuit in Spain is 75 years old, or will be in several years. All that will remain of the Jesuits in another 20 years is cemeteries and apostate universities that the Jesuits sold to the Muslim Brotherhood years ago.
