An important read. The people who support gay adoption, for instance, seem blandly convinced that the purpose of adoption is to cater to adults' preferences, not children's needs. So they deliberately, with "aforethought" and yet with total obliviousness, set up a situation in which a child will have no father (or no mother) for life, forever.

Those who refuse to adopt to the child's needs will blandly say, "The kids don't mind. Children are so flexible. They can adapt to anything."
