Atheists love the Pope when he agrees with them.

Tell ya what Francis, when you finally get the priesthood to quit having oral sex with the alter boys then maybe you can tackle global warming or climate change or whatever they call it.

Didn't St. Paul admonish us to fight climate change in his letter to the Taclobanians?

:)

I hope people do not preemptively freak out. Writing an encyclical does NOT effectively elevate PC junk science to the level of a doctrine of faith to be held by all the faithful.

Not you in particular, but too many people are conflating "encyclical" with "infallibility." There is no doctrine of the Catholic Church that states that what's written in an encyclical is binding OR infallible ---- especially when it is on topics like geo-climatology and meta-economics rather than faith and morals.

First thing, he talks too much. I pray for him to get the Gift of Zechariah. Unable to talk until he's got something God-pleasing to say...

Concerned? Yeah, so am I. Let's dedicate 2015 to praying for the Pope.

I do a couple of times a day. Thanks for reminding me again.

I love this Pope. He as I undersand is only Infallible when teaching on Faith and Morals and when teaching Ex Catheda.
( From the Chair of Peter).
It depends on whose Scientists you choose to believe.
Our World has been in a cooling period for a good number of Years. Thanks for your Note.

JARRING CHORD

NOBODY expects the Spanish Inquisition! Amongst our weaponry are such diverse elements as: fear, surprise, ruthless efficiency, an almost fanatical devotion to the Pope, and nice red uniforms

Just as hallowed US institutions such as the presidency can be taken over by Communists, Marxists, and Socialists....so unfortunately can the Vatican.

And AFTER he was elected Pope, JPII realized he didn’t know much about economics, and “hired” a world-class free-market economist to tutor him! Wish I could remember the guy’s name.

And Galileo really got in trouble for some theological propositions, not scientific propositions.

I've been hearing that for years: Encyclical=Infallible. Except for Humanae Vitae, of course.

I’ve been banned from the Facebook pages of Dolan, Gomez, and Cupich for posting this link:

http://tinyurl.com/canon915

Reports are that Francis is intervening personally in the selection of bishops, especially in the Spanish-speaking world, bypassing the prepared lists and the nuncios, and appointing “horrible” priests. Reportedly, Cupich was one of these Francis picks, promoted by Wuerl, Dolan, and O’Malley.

Pray to Saint Zechariah! Excellent idea.

Good heavens, they banned you for posting the official position of the highest canonical office of the Catholic Church on Canon 915?

I'm shaking my head sadly.
