My saying that Protestants accept divorce and remarriage for many reasons other than adultery is not creating a "straw man" - it is stating a FACT.

Then you shouldn't have any problem backing it us.

Where are the stats and where is the proof?

You can do your own research, but divorce is quite common among Protestants, even evangelical Protestants, and I don't think I need to prove that it arises from many reasons: adultery, alcoholism, abandonment, verbal abuse, physical abuse, differing views on childrearing or use of money, simple "drifting apart," and many other reasons. Don't ask me to prove with statistics what everyone knows from first hand experience.
