Jesus was a Jew, and accepted many practices that you might find odd, weird, or offensive, including animal sacrifice in a temple maintained by a priestly class. (The "cleansing of the temple" was a protest against certain abuses, not against the temple cult itself.)

But you will also notice that He tore the temple curtain from above and then destroyed the temple. Any thoughts on why?

We read about them in the scriptures...It is these things created by your religion which the scriptures are bereft of that we find odd, weird and offensive:
