For about a month all you do here is put James 2 on its head. When did I speak to you of any "ritual"?
Romans 4:5 speaks of someone who "does not work" and later applies it to Abraham prior to his circumcision. So then "work" their is a work of Jewish law, not a general universal teaching.
Epesians 2:8-9 is followed by the necessity of works for salvation. Learn to read the Holy Scripture every once in a while before commenting.
John 6:29 explains that faith that is "work of God" is faith Catholic, precisely in what Protestantism rejects. What do the Jews there "believe not" (verse 36)? Right, what you-all believe not. That is complete Catholic faith He is talking about, not Protestant declarative no-works-are-required faith.
Wow! There you go interpreting scripture. It doesn't say "Jewish law". Was James also talking about the "work of Jewish law"? You can't have it both ways. So which is it? Either both Paul and James were talking about "work of Jewish law" or they were not. Enlighten us.
