Some RCs deceive people intentionally by claiming their church teaches we are saved by the grace of God alone. What they don't teach or believe is that we are saved by grace THROUGH faith alone and not by our works, deeds, efforts, merits, “cooperating” with God's grace, etc. It's really a sneaky way to rope people into a false gospel that places their church as the only way to get through to heaven. It is the same kind of accursed gospel Paul warned the Galatian Christians AND us about.

I have always suspected, that when you are dealing with folks from other religious persuasions, you must define every term you use. They engage in cult speak. Example: Some weeks ago, the Jehovah's Witnesses came to my door. I said I would be glad to discuss the Word Of God with them. I had to define every term I used, such as when I say Jesus Christ, faith, good works, salvation etc, I know exactly what I mean. When a JW, Mormon, etc, says these terms, it conjures up an entirely different concept in their minds, and it usually is far different than what comes to my mind. So, if someone says we believe in salvation by God's grace alone, they must define what they mean, and usually it is different from the biblical definition. Make sense?
