Because they contain blatant errors according to history and contradictions to the rest of scripture.

There are a lot of people out there who say the same of the Pentateuch, especially regarding Genesis and parts of Exodus. To one who maintains the principle of Sola Scriptura, why would the words of historians, and in our day, some scientists, affect our faith?
